MY NAME IS JESUS...Copyright by P. Boilesen
I am Friend to the one who is lonely.
I aml Listener to the one who must talk.
I am Sight to the one who is blinded
I'm the Cane to the one who can't walk.
I am Food to the one who is hungry
I amYouth to the one who is old.
I am Wise to the one who seeks wisdom.
I am Warmth to the one who is cold.
My name is Jesus. Some know it well. Some call me Christ; some Immanuel. I am the chosen. The chosen one.
My name is Jesus and I am God's Son.
I am Faith to the one who's known doubt.
I am Hope to the one in despair.
I am Joy to the one who's known sorrow
I am Peace to the one knelt in prayer.
I am Brother to the one who seeks family.
I am Healer to the one racked with pain.
I am Savior to the one who's a sinner.
I'm God's Son, and He chose my name.
My name is Jesus. Some know it well. Some call me Christ; some Immanuel. I am the chosen. The chosen one.
My name is Jesus. I am God's Son!

Wiggly   Copyright by P. Boilesen
Sometimes when I am sitting...sitting in my chair,,,a Wiggly comes and grabs me. He comes from over there! He grabs hold of my fingers and grabs hold of my feet! Then before I know it, I'm wiggling in my seat!!

Oh-oh! Oh-oh! I wiggle all around! Oh-oh! Oh-oh! Please Wiggly settle down!!

I sometimes feel a Wiggly creeping up on me whenever I am tired of sitting quietly. He grabs hold of my fingers and grabs hold of my feet. It makes me sort of wonder if I wiggle in my sleep!.

Prairie Fire..Copyright by P.B.
I see smoke arisin'
There on the horizon
and glory be the smoke I see ain't from no chiminey.
It's the devil's preachin'
got them flames areachin'
black as sin threatenin' my
home and family, prairie fire!

Chorus: Prairie fire! I see it comin! Prairie fire! I hear it's roar! Prairie fire! Watch it burnin!
Gotta find a way, gotta try to save us from this prairie fire!

C'mon feet quit draggin' go and hitch the wagon. Gotta get the spade, gotta try to save the land the Master gave. Ma's down in the cellar, how  am I gonna tell her to gather round , then soak down the quilts that she just made? Prairie Fire!

Repeat Chorus

Lord, my arms are achin and some men are afadin' but the trench we made just might save our homes and fields of grain. Women folk and daughters carryin' barrels of water, burlap bags quilts and rags to fight the devil's rage, Prairie fire!
Repeat Chorus

Now my  eyes are burnin' but I think the fire's turnin'
The wind has changed, God send rain and drown this devil's child...Prairie Fire!
Now the fire is dyin', but there's no denyin' if the prairie's dry you'll hear the cry "We've got a prairie fire!" Prairie Fire!!

Song recorded on "Keepin' It Simple" (#6) and "Once Upon a Prairie"  (# 8)
Nebraska's Daughter
Copyright by P. Boilesen
1. Country living raised me on the plains of Nebraska
A state that you don't hear of much in song. Living's pretty quiet here and that's the reason why people often leave but not for long.
2. Cities you don't find too often here out on the plains. Half a dozen's all we really need.
Instead there's little towns that still leave plenty room to let Heaven and the farmer plant his seed.

And love keeps rollin', rollin' , rollin', rollin', rollin', with the plains. Happiness keeps growin', growin', growin' with the grains. Freedom drinks her fill in pure water and i'm proud to say that I'm Nebraska's Daughter.

3. Equality before the law's our motto we all know. Go big red is still our battle cry. The Golden Rule is what we teach our children as they grow and Heaen's what we pray for when we die.

The Quilt of Life
Copyright 2006...P. Boilesen
In the closet of the bedroom at the top of the stairs Is a box that I remember sitting there for years. That box inside the closet was always filled with clothes
Most were mine that I'd outgrown and some were full of holes.
I never understood why my Mama kept them there.
These clothes that didn't fit, these clothes I didn't wear.
I asked her why she kept them; she'd smile and shake her head
Oh you'll have to wait and see was all she ever said.
The day that graduation came Mama said "Come see. There's something on your bed that I made for you from me."On my bed I saw my life so beautifully displayed.  A patchwork quilt of pieces that my Mama made.  I now knew why my Mama kept those boxes full of clothes  She had planned this quilt for me 18 years ago.
She said "if you look closely at this quilt you'll see this quiltIs pieced together from many memories. Some memories are of good times. You'll smile when you see those. Here's what you wore for your first date and he brought you A rose. Some memories will remind you of heartache and of pain. Here's what you wore when Champ was killed, look close you'll see it's stained. Remember how you cried the day they buried your Best friend? This piece is from the dress you wore and never wore again. This piece is from 2 years ago when you turned 16, and this  Is from the gown you wore, you thought that you'de be queen. I made this quilt for you my child so that you could see
A life is made of pieces...all from memory. God is the Master Quilter, He's made your Quilt of Life. He's laid out all the pieces And every piece fits right. Some pieces are from laughter, some Are made from tears but ever every piece He's stitched with love To get you through the years. So look upon this quilt I've made And know it's made with love just like your Quilt of Life that's made by God from up above.

Friend I Know You...Copyright by P. Boilesen
Have you ever laid down on the grass and watched the white clouds slowly drifting by? Have you ever blown a dandelion and watched the seeds float gently through the sky? Have you ever run with barefeet tingling through the grass that's cold and wet with dew? If you have then I can tell you that although we haven't met, Friend, I know you.
Can you hold a baby kitten or a puppy in your arms and feel love? Can you watch a blinding snow stormand feel that you should thank the Lord above? Can you see a pretty rainbow through the clouds
although the rainstorm isn't through?
If you can then I can tell you that although we haven't met, Friend, I know you.

I know that you can find a miracle in every single day that passes by. And even though some days are cloudy you can find a ray of sunshine if you try. Now friend someday this life on earth will end, but we will meet again at heaven's door. And he'll meet us there beyond the blue take both our hands and say "Friend, I Know You."

Have you ever held a loved one in your arms and cried because you felt so happy? Have you felt the pangs of anger and the guilt that comes when the anger's through? Have you felt the pain of losing a loved one or a friend who's life is over? If you have then I can tell you that although we haven't met Friend, I know you.
